I want my little sisters to call me Akka (means big sister) or another name. My older step-sister is called Sissy. Trying to get info about a knee injury i have?

I have a knee injury that has me confused. I am considering going to the doctor to have it looked it, but I want to make sure it is worth the trip (I hate going to the doctor for nothing). I play softball, and my knee only hurts minimally while I play. It's the next day that I experience a lot of pain. The day after a game, I have very limited flexibility in my knee. The pain is in my right knee, towards the outside of my leg. From what I have looked up, the pain seems to be in the general area of the lateral collateral ligament. I do not think it is an injury to the ligament, as I experienced no "pop", no swelling, no immediate trauma to the area. I have no issue bearing weight on the injured leg, but when it is in a bent position, I can not push off (i.e. climbing/descending the stairs). Some movements that most noticeable hurt seem to be when I try to remove my foot from my shoe, or when I try to lift my foot from the gas pedal to the brake while driving. Any insight would help, thank you.

Should i give my dishwasher and refrigerator their own supply lines?

I am an owner builder and I am currently working on plumbing for my house. I have taken a class at a community college so I kinda know what I am doing but I have run into a dilemma. What I have read in my Stanley Plumbing book is that I do not need to give my refrigerator or my dishwasher their own water supply lines but rather can branch off the sink supply lines assuming I am only installing one sink, dishwasher and refrigerator in the kitchen (which I am). My question is: "Is that the best way to go?" I am worried that this may result in low water pressure in my sink when either the ice maker or the dishwasher is running. Also the fridge will probably have its own water dispenser too and i my book said nothing about fridges with water dispensers. I have been trying to conceive for over a year. Need some insight on what may be wrong?

I recently went to the doctor and got blood work done and a transvaginal ultra sound- Everything came back normal. About 5 months ago, I had a LEEP procedure done for high grade dysplasia, but my gyno said this problem wouldn't have affected my ability to conceive. I started taking vitamins about 4 months ago. Also, I've been off birth control for about a year and a half. I now get acne around my chin, so i thought I may have a hormone imbalance. However, i assumed they'd check this in my bloodwork. I have a regular period and also chart my BBT. It doesn't seem I always ovulate on the same CD. Any ideas?

My friend always gets the lead role!?

Me and my best friend Katie have loved acting since kindergarten. We would play the soundtrack to a show like Little Shop of Horrors, Greece, Seussical, or Bat Boy and make our own little production. We decided from the first day that we started doing this that we would be leads together in all the middle school plays and that it was going to be great. During elementary school we would both audition for student films at the local college and Katie would usually get the parts because she was smaller. I am freakishly tall, and was about the same size as the college students, so I never got any parts. Oh, and her dad is also the head of the theater department at the college. So I thought that this would change in middle school and we would both get lead roles. Then middle school came, and we auditioned for the first show together (High School Musical). She got a callback and I didn't. I was a bit upset but I still felt happy for my friend. She got the role of Kelsey and I was ensemble. I though "Oh, its the first show and she has a bit more experience, it will be better next year). Well in seventh grade we auditioned for the show (Annie) and we both got callbacks. She got a callback for Annie and Lily St. Regis, while I only got a callback for one of the orphans. In the end, I got the role of Duffy, and she got the role of Annie. I was still upset about this, but I was still fine with it because I got a lead role. Now THIS YEAR, we both auditioned for Beauty and the Beast, and we both got callbacks, I got called back for Mrs. Potts and Madame de la Grande Bouche, while she got called back for those two AND Belle, Babette, Le Fou, and Cogsworth. She ended up getting cast as Belle, while I got cast as a featured towns-person and a plate. This is where I got really annoyed and started feeling a lot less happy for my friend. For our spring show, instead of a play, we are doing a revue of all the shows that our school did in the past 6 years. I was so excited because it was finally my chance to get a good part, and it turns out that Katie got THREE solos. She gets to be the Cat in the Hat for "Oh the Thinks you can Think", she gets to be Gertrude for "Notice Me Horton", and she gets to be Belle for "Home". Then I see what song I have, and I have a SEVEN measure solo in "You're Never Fully Dressed Without a Smile". I was really upset. First of all, do not overwhelm her with activities, perhaps one big or two smaller activities a day is more than enough. Give her time to talk and to get to know your family. If you have pictures from your own earlier trip, try labeling them with names and captions in English.. either put together an album or just put the captions on the back of the photos. A walk or ride , window shopping etc. can be calm, interesting, and help you both get to practice your speaking skills. Also, communicate with her. what does she want to do? Does she have a special interest in something ? For example is she interested in exploring caves? try Chislehurst caves? Does she have fantasies of being a royal? Take her to Windsor castle. Does she like history, museums, shopping or what? Maybe get some of those little pamphlets about activities and events and send those to her ahead of time. I very stupidly stole second and slid without a sliding pad on (i was safe but my team left me on third=(- there is no blood- there are many little scrapes that stung like hell when it first happened- and then were ok. My boss is about to drive me up the wall. It would help if there was someone who has been in a similar situation or who has insight into what is going on. Okay when I first met him he was nice, then he changed. He's always on a power trip. He always has to be right. Need help identifying this fishing rod? Tell me what it's worth?

I have recently found (what looks like) an old fishing rod in my shed. It came in a plastic tube and inside if the tube it was covered in what looked like a giant shammy with Japanese writing on it. On the outside tube, it says Olympic fishing tackle co. Ltd. Also, it has many Japanese markings on it, it says the rod is 94.2% carbon fiber and is 7.2m long and weighs 325g. What are some good attractions in Los Angeles?

Me and my family are going to california in 2 weeks. So far we have Universal Studios and Madame Tussuad's Hollywood. Do you guys have any other ideas preferably cheaper ones but I'll take all of ideas into consideration. Could you guys also tell me any stories or experiences you may have have about California. And I'm going on plane for the first time so any stories about that and tips to calm my nerves because i"m terrified.

I need some insight on my symptoms?

I will start off by saying I have a doctor appointment booked, it's just not for a few weeks so I thought I would come on here to get any info I could while I wait to see the doctor. First thing I am concerned about is every so often, maybe 1-2 times a month my left arm will randomly feel immense pressure inside as if someone were taking my blood pressure, the veins pop out and it goes a little red. This usually only lasts around 30 seconds and then goes away, it is completely random, sometimes it happens when I am fully exerting myself, other times I am completely relaxed. I have also been experiencing frequent fevers lately, no other symptoms other than a fever, usually around 101-102 F, accompanied by body aches the entire duration of the fever. I have had 3 in the lAst month and a half, usually last anywhere from 1-3 days. This has me concerned that there may be something wrong. I am 21 in good general condition, mother of a 3 year old, and unfortunately I do smoke (trying my hardest to quit that nasty habit) if that will help. Again I am just looking for some insight while I wait to see my doctor, anything is helpful! Thanks!

My laptop will not connect to my home router?

I have recently purchased a new laptop, due to my old laptop breaking. My old laptop had no problem connecting to my home router and could connect fine. Although, my new laptop (an acer aspire 5000) cannot find my router (which is a Belkin). My laptop can find nearly all of my streets routers besides mine. Although, on one lucky occasion it has managed to find it and since then it has disconnected and has been unable to find it since. Does anyone have any insight on whether to fix this? If so, please leave you're advise. It would be most helpful.

Symantec was recently installed, replacing Avast and I have seen nothing but problems.?

Is it just me, or are there definite problems with Symantec and Vista? I am running Windows Vista Business edition. This is a desktop computer at work. We are connected to a Windows 2005 or 2008 server. My problem: for about the past 2 weeks, I have been receiving 'critical' errors in the error logs about Kernel-Power, event ID 41. Says sleep transition not successful. However, what I am seeing as the end user is: Outlook is the first to lose connection with the network. Then, because Outlook is trying to connect to the server, it begins to interrupt other programs. Typically, the internet is the next to lock up, then other programs follow. The only thing to do is hard boot the computer. I start in Safe Mode, then restart into Normal Mode. This has happened consistently each day of the working week for two weeks now. My computer is from July 2008 and from then to June 2011, the computer has logged only 9 critical events - all within the last two weeks. Any suggestions or insights would be extremely helpful. The company's IT person has replaced my network cable and battery in the computer. Her next step is replacing the NIC card, but I am not sure that will make a difference.

Memory and intelligence(insight)?

I have something I have been thinking about for awhile now. Actually 2 things. One, I want to know if I have a photographic memory. Usually if I have to remember a number really quick, I look at it for 5 or so seconds, then close my eyes and the image will stay there as long as I keep my eyes closed. If I open them, I have to rely soley on my regular memory which is excellent for retaining educational information. I can program in 2 different programming languages, I am currently learning sign language, I can rebuild dirt Ike engines. The first time I did it, it was like I've been doing it for years. I just did it as I went along. But remembering to take out the garbage, or what I was just about to do... My memory is crap! And the second question I cannot remember lol But I absorb information, retain it, and it comes with ease! I don't need college or classes to learn. I have taught myself everything I know. Like the dirt bike, I just dove into and everything just fell into place. Any insight on this would be appreciated!

I feel like a clone that adopts personality traits from the people I associate with. I find myself imitating others and even talking like them at times. I have really sore nipples, what could this mean?

Hi. I usually get really sore breasts right around the time I ovulate, but this month, no sore breasts. So I figured maybe I didn't ovulate this month or something. But yesterday my nipples, not my breasts, just my nipples became very sore. I am supposed to start my period either today or tomorrow. I have had a few twinges in my lower abdomen over the past few days as well. And while sitting in my class tonight I got a wave of nausea. I am wondering if maybe I am pregnant. Can kidney stones feel like gas pains?

I have had pain all day in the mid-to-lower right side of my abdomen. It started as more of a dull annoyance, but seems to be a bit worse now. I have been researching kidney stones, and the location of pain seems to match, but not the type of pain. It is not excruciating, but seems to sharpen when I move around. It almost feels like gas pains, but not quite the same. I have no other symptoms. Can anyone offer more insight as to what this might be?

"Emma" by Jane Austen is a great read! Well, honestly, any Jane Austen book is a great read. If you've ever seen the movie Clueless, you'll love reading Emma and noticing all of the little similarities between the two. Ok, so for years I have loved to draw, sketch, and now i've been thinking about painting! but painting can be very expensive with buying paint canvasses, and such. A few months ago I discovered Concept art, and I am absolutely blown away by the creative arts of concept art, and I want to be able to do what concept artists do. After much investigation I learnt that concept artists today use computer art software (like paint but 100x's more in depth) and they use tablets to paint on the computer software. So I am trying to find a good tablet, not to expensive, but has good sensitivity specs for painting, drawing, etc. Anyone out there who is in concept art, uses a tablet, or have any good insight for me would be greatly appretiated!

Only one I read was War and Peace. Beast of a book. I only read it at work. I work midnight shift. I took me over 3 months. Can say with PRIDE I finished it. And, it is more than long. It is a great book/historical novel about love, friendship, class, the division of 19th century Europe, how Russians view themselves as different/same as Europeans and Asians.
